Her signature style becomes the hallmark of famous public buildings, private apartments in Kazakhstan and far beyond, with wealthy and high-ranking individuals among her clients, and her projects winning international recognition at numerous prestigious global competitions. Let’s delve into the biography, career, and achievements of the talented designer Svitlana Antonovych.
— What was your childhood like and how did you choose your profession?
— I was born on August 3, 1991, in Kyiv, Ukraine. My father, Andriy Antonovych, is a leading architect at Antonovych Design. My mother, Olena Antonovych, is an interior designer, public figure, and chairman of the board of the Association of Business Women of Kazakhstan. My sister, Kateryna Antonovych, is also a professional interior designer.
One could say that thanks to my family’s example and my own calling, the choice of my field of activity was clear to me from an early age. Innate curiosity, attention to detail, perseverance, and persistence stimulated me to expand the boundaries of the usual perception of space.
I was able to notice seemingly inconspicuous details and admired the beauty of the surrounding world, focusing on the play of light, the combination of shades, and the variety of textures.
A few years later, I attended a school with an in-depth study of English and Spanish in Boryspil, near Kyiv. Due to my openness to new knowledge, studying came easily and effortlessly to me.
Next was the Kyiv College of Construction, Architecture and Design, which I graduated from in 2009, receiving an architect’s diploma. In 2013, I graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, Construction and Design at the Kyiv National Aviation University.
The Faculty of Architecture helped me develop spatial thinking, allowed me to believe in the boundless possibilities of design, and awakened a great love for my work. I immediately began to hone my skills in practice – at that moment, the Antonovych family already owned their own design studio, Antonovych Design, in Kyiv.

— In 2010, I married Dmytro Korotchuk, a qualified specialist in real estate and construction, and the founder of Antonovych Home. We have a daughter, Solomiya.
From that moment, another important talent of mine was revealed — the ability to brilliantly combine career and family responsibilities, which, evidently, only stimulated a dynamic leap in development. After all, family became the best source of strength, inspiration, and motivation, which I often and subtly mention on my social media.
— How did your career develop?
— The business scaled, developed, and at some point, the geography of orders began to extend beyond Ukraine, making Kazakhstan a priority direction. This became the starting point for our family’s relocation in 2015 to the industrial and cultural center of Kazakhstan — Astana. Here, the luxury interior design studio Luxury Antonovich Design opened, which became my faithful assistant in realizing bold design ideas. As a result of rebranding, the company’s name changed to Antonovych Design.
Thanks to building close partnerships with renowned Italian furniture factories, in 2017, my husband Dmytro Korotchuk and I launched our new project — the multi-brand center for Italian furniture in Astana, Antonovich Home. This is a unique gallery that showcases not just individual pieces of furniture, but complete interior solutions, maximizing the possibilities of
Later, the list of projects was supplemented by a mono-brand showroom Poliform Astana, offering products from the international Italian factory, represented on 5 continents in 85 countries worldwide. And in 2022, an exposition of the respectable Versace Home brand appeared.
— What is
— They say my inspiration is contagious, my talent is endless, and my ideas are unique in their beauty and functionality. I simply never stop learning and testing new scales of my capabilities.
This allows me to implement unconventional solutions and create individual spaces in an exclusive style that remains relevant timelessly. My interiors demonstrate not only visual aesthetics; they express the homeowner’s worldview, their inner world, and lifestyle. They are the culmination of the designer’s meticulous work, carefully thought-out details, and a deep understanding of the client’s needs.
I implement projects in various styles: from classic, neoclassic to art deco: design of public buildings and private apartments, hotels, SPA salons, boutiques, villas, and mansions. I was also fortunate enough to participate in the design of residences, such as the Presidential Palace in Astana.
As a result, among some designers, the term

— Svitlana Antonovych today: who is she?
— Today, I successfully implement design projects worldwide, conduct interior design masterclasses and charity seminars, and my works are featured in various magazines on fashion trends and premium interior design. In my masterclasses, I try to convey the value of design thinking.
That is, the necessity not just to create an interior with deliberate pomp and elaborate finishes for VIP clients, but to design solutions filled with harmony and comfort. And also, how the visual perception of design can influence human emotions and give meaning to the surrounding space.
After all, if we delve a little deeper into history, we will see that in the process of decorating interiors of those times, specialists often guided themselves by bionics — the science of the relationship between nature and civilization. A system of measurements related to the human body, its biorhythms, and natural proportions was used, instead of the centimeters and millimeters we are accustomed to. This allowed for the creation of harmonious spaces for perception. That is why we so admire the atmosphere of old buildings with their sophistication and special sense of rhythm. I also take an active social stance, providing charitable support to the Pugachiv Children’s Orphanage-Boarding School for children with neuropsychiatric disorders in the Zhytomyr region, Ukraine. Svitlana captivates with the multifaceted nature of her talent and her continuous desire to grow as a person. She puts her soul into each project, turns dreams of comfort in the surrounding space into reality, and confirms the truth: to achieve success, you must definitely do what you love.
